Just like a mesa, a butte is characterized by the same flat-topped, steep-sided rock formation, however a butte is smaller in scale. Buttes are created as streams slowly cut through rock. Just like the Mesa Pendant, the Butte Pendant is inspired by erosion & rock formations.
